ديدان تعيش في الأمعاء الدقيقة، وبتحتاج عائل وسيط (حشرة) عشان تكمل دورة حياتها، فبتنتقل غالبًا عن طريق أكل الحمام لحشرات ملوثة باليرقة.

Symptoms

General lethargy and sluggishness, gradual weight loss in moderate to heavy infestations.

Causes

ديدان شريطية (Cestodes)

Transmission

أكل حشرات وسيطة حاملة لليرقة.

Diagnosis

فحص مجهري للزرق أو ملاحظة أجزاء من الدودة (proglottids) في الزرق.

Treatment

Moxidectin, levamisole, or ivermectin depending on availability.

Prevention

Loft hygiene, insect vector control, deworming program every 6 months.
