The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies and sells no data. This page says exactly what is stored in your browser and why.
1 · What is stored
- Theme preference (light/dark): saved in your browser's local storage under the key
ghz-themewhen you press the theme button. It never leaves your device. - Technical cookies from the hosting provider: may be set so the site is served securely (attack protection and load balancing). They contain no identifying data about you.
- Sign-in session
ghz_web(essential): set only when you sign in on the website (for checkout or the account area). It holds a short session token (30 minutes), is protected from JavaScript (HttpOnly), and is removed on sign-out or when it expires. It does not track you across sites. - The "Continue with Google" button: when shown on the sign-in page it is loaded from Google (
accounts.google.com), and Google may set its own cookies for your Google session — governed by Google's policy. We receive nothing from it unless you actually choose to sign in.
2 · Analytics and error reports
We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics — an anonymous tool: no cookies and no device fingerprinting; it only counts pages viewed, country and device type, and cannot link two visits together after the end of the day. Error reports are sent to Sentry without personally identifying data so we can fix failures.
3 · Third-party content
Encyclopedia and bird images load from Cloudinary. Any embedded YouTube video loads from YouTube's cookie-free domain (youtube-nocookie). These parties may see your IP address as part of serving the file.
4 · Your control
You can clear local storage and cookies from your browser settings at any time — the site keeps working and returns to the default theme.
