من أكتر الطفيليات المعوية شيوعًا في الحمام بعد الديدان المستديرة، وليها دورة حياة معوية مباشرة.

Symptoms

Vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, lethargy and loose interest in feeding/drinking in heavy infestations.

Causes

ديدان الشعرية (Capillaria spp.)

Transmission

بلع بيض الدودة الموجود في التربة أو الزرق الملوث.

Diagnosis

فحص مجهري للزرق للكشف عن بيض الديدان المميز.

Treatment

Methridine or moxidectin, levamisole, ivermectin depending on the case.

Prevention

Loft hygiene, preventive deworming every 6 months.
