This page explains when your money comes back and when it does not — in the wallet, deals, auctions, competitions and subscriptions. The general rule: any amount held in escrow returns to its owner if the deal does not complete, and digital goods follow the policy of the store they were bought from.
1 · Wallet balance
Topping up the wallet is not a purchase — the money stays yours inside the wallet and you can withdraw it at any time to your bank account or e-wallet, subject to the announced minimum, a fee according to your plan, and an administrative review. Balance held in escrow or as an auction deposit cannot be withdrawn until it is released.
2 · Marketplace purchases (products and birds)
The buyer's money is held in escrow until delivery is confirmed. If the order is cancelled before shipping, or a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour, the full amount returns to the buyer's wallet. Returns after delivery are available for products the seller marked as returnable, within the period announced in the app; the admins decide disputes the two sides cannot settle.
3 · Auctions
Deposits are released automatically to all non-winning bidders when the auction ends. A winner who completes the deal has the deposit counted toward the price; a winner who withdraws may forfeit the deposit under the auction policy announced when it was created.
4 · Competitions
If a competition is cancelled by the admins, entry fees are refunded to all participants. Voluntary withdrawal after registration does not refund the fee.
5 · Subscriptions and digital goods
Subscriptions, themes, the verification badge, evaluation fees, bird files and competition entries are bought through the Google Play store on Android. Any refund request for them is made to Google and follows Google Play's policy — not through us. A subscription that expires does not refund the remaining period and does not delete any content.
Subscriptions bought on the website (ghuzar.com)
From 15 September 2026 you can buy the paid plans directly on the website; payment is by card through the Paymob gateway (not through the wallet or Google Play). The rules:
- Immediate activation: as soon as Paymob confirms the payment the subscription is activated on the same account and shows up in the app within seconds. If you were charged and the subscription does not appear within an hour, contact us with the order reference shown on the result page and we activate it manually or refund in full.
- Refunds: a website subscription is a prepaid, fixed-term plan (1 month / 6 months / 1 year) that activates immediately, so there is no refund after activation unless the fault is ours (charged without activation, or charged twice for the same period). In both cases the amount is returned to the same card within 5–14 business days depending on the bank.
- No auto-renewal: a website subscription does not renew by itself and we do not store your card details; when it is about to expire you simply buy again. Buying while a subscription is still active extends it from the current expiry date rather than restarting it.
- No double charging: if you have an active auto-renewing Google Play subscription, the website blocks the purchase until you cancel renewal in the app — so you never pay twice for the same period. Google Play subscriptions remain under Google's policy (paragraph above).
- Prices are in Egyptian pounds and include any gateway fees. There is no electronic tax invoice at present; the Paymob receipt is the proof of payment.
