Ablaq Banafsegi

A delicate and beautiful bird with a following among keepers, but one of the houses most neglected — until recently, when established keepers returned to it and many newcomers took it up. Although keepers class it with the Ablaq, it shares only one feature with the house — the shape of the body in respect of cheeks and shoulders — while the rest of its standard is closer to the Nawa'em. It differs in three respects: a high forehead (qora) rather than the Ablaq arch; a short, thin, pointed beak rather than the medium or shaped beak of the house; and a smaller chest with a finer build. Shoulders pale blue close to the muted colour of a violet flower, with frosting and two chalk-coloured bars.
