Ablaq ala Ward

A cross, not a foundation house, and frequently confused with the red Ablaq. It differs in three respects: its colour is a light red tending to rose rather than dark red; its cheeks are a shade darker than the shoulders rather than matching them; and its shoulders carry frosting where the red's do not.

| العتصة والذيل العُنصة هي المكان عند التقاء آخر الظهر مع بداية منبت ريش الذيل — وكلما كانت عريضة ومستقيمة كان أفضل. وعدد ريش الذيل في المتوسط (١٤ ريشة)، والجناح مشمور ويكون تحت الذيل. ومن الكماليات البوق (ريشة العطار): ريشة في منتصف الذيل لها عصب واحد ومشقوقة نصفين. | 5 |
