مرض بكتيري بيصيب الجهاز التنفسي والعصبي غالبًا، وممكن يسبب خسائر اقتصادية ملحوظة عند تفشيه في القن.

Symptoms

Neurological and respiratory signs, general weakness, possible sudden death in acute cases.

Causes

بكتيريا Pasteurella multocida

Transmission

تلامس مباشر مع طيور مصابة، وأكل أو ماء ملوث.

Diagnosis

زرع بكتيري من عينات الأنسجة أو الإفرازات.

Treatment

Sulphonamides, sulfamethazine, or norfloxacin depending on severity.

Prevention

Loft hygiene, reduce stress/overcrowding, isolate affected birds immediately.
