Halabi Masri

A pigeon that sadly no longer exists in numbers greater than the fingers of two hands, despite being a beautiful bird — it simply never received the care it deserved, like many houses and strains that have passed into memory. The author appeals to the keepers who still hold birds to work together to bring it back into production. Medium head, rounded from behind and arched in front; short beak of medium width — slightly narrower than the red Ghuzar's — white, with matching nails; round eye with some opening, black pupil, white iris and a fine band of wine as the ring; white eyelids of medium thickness; medium chest, 35 cm on average. Body wholly red, the colour of the red Ghuzar, with a white wing shield. Note: contrary to what some keepers believe, it does not carry a mesalla or a wad'a.
