Arnafl (Qoronfoli)

A pigeon on the verge of extinction. The head comes from behind in a rotation where it meets the neck and tapers in front. The beak is of the khayari type, medium in length and thickness, slightly finer than the Egyptian Absi's, white with matching nails; round eye with a black pupil, white iris and a white ring tending to a pale wine; white eyelids tending to wine. Medium chest, with a white mesalla and wad'a and a hegab on the back, 35 cm on average, and legs slightly smaller than the Egyptian Absi's. Body wholly black washed with henna, concentrated more heavily on the neck, with white wing shields — the ideal being ten feathers in each wing.
