This is part one of the complete Ghuzar guide. If you don't have the app yet, get it from the app page — one account works for both the app and the website.
1. Signing up
- By email: enter your name, email and a password (at least 6 characters) and pick your governorate — it shows on your profile and decides which governorate committee you vote for in elections.
- With Google: the "Sign in with Google" button creates the account instantly with the same email. If you later sign in on the website with Google, it opens the same account.
- Accept the terms — the full text opens from the same screen; read it at least once.
2. Verify your email
You will receive a verification link. Tap it from the same phone — it opens a page on ghuzar.com that says "verified" and sends you back to the app. If the link never arrives: check spam, or request a resend from Settings.
Verification is not required to sign in right now, but it is required to recover your account if you forget your password — don't put it off.
3. Username and membership number
- The membership number (
GHZ-000123) is generated automatically and never changes — it is what appears on your card and invoices. - The username is yours to choose from Settings ⇐ Account: unique, Latin letters and digits, and it makes it easy for people to find and share you. You can change it later.
4. Your profile
From the Profile tab ⇐ Edit:
- A profile photo (cropped square automatically) and a wide cover.
- A short bio: what you breed and since when.
- Social links (Facebook · WhatsApp · TikTok · Instagram) — shown as buttons on your public profile.
- Privacy: "private account" hides your content from non-followers, and you can hide your phone number, bird count and loft each separately.
5. The one-device rule
Your account works on one device at a time: sign in on a second phone and the first is signed out automatically. The session is permanent — no automatic logout unless you do it. Signing in on the website (for payments and your account) is a separate short session that does not kick out the app.
6. Notifications
When the app first asks for notification permission, allow it — auctions, chat and financial transactions all reach you through it, and you can fine-tune it type by type from Settings ⇐ Notifications.
