An illustrative story — the situation repeats in many lofts; names and details are changed. Not a customer testimonial.
Uncle Ramadan from Beni Suef, 30 years in Safi. He has a cock he calls "the best I ever bred" — its sire won at two shows, and its dam came from an old pair at his brother's.
Someone from Alexandria saw the bird in a post on Ghuzar and messaged him: "Seven thousand?" Uncle Ramadan agreed. The buyer replied: "But I can't come down to Beni Suef, and seven thousand on a photo is a lot."
Fair enough. A photo says nothing about the pedigree, the prizes, or even whether the bird is still alive.
What Uncle Ramadan did
He didn't argue and didn't say "trust me." He did two things:
- Requested a committee evaluation from the app (at his plan's fee). A week later the committee scored the bird 87/100 with notes on every criterion — the kantara, the wing butts, the stance — and the score was recorded in the bird's file.
- Requested the official bird file PDF: a four-generation pedigree from the records (the sire with its registration number and its placings at the two shows), the live photos with their dates, the evaluation, the ownership log, and a QR.
He sent the PDF to the buyer. The buyer scanned the QR — a page opened on ghuzar.com with the same data from the server, today's date, and the bird's owner: Ramadan, Beni Suef, verified member ✓.
How it ended
The buyer paid the same day. The ownership transfer was done in the app before the bird got on the minibus, and the buyer received a bird in his loft in the app before it physically arrived — with its whole history.
Two months later the same buyer sold a bird descended from that Safi — with the same kind of file, the same trust, and even faster.
The lesson: trust is not talk — trust is a record someone else can verify. The evaluation and the file are requested from the app or from the digital store — and read why the file raises the price.
