Part 7 of the complete Ghuzar guide. All upcoming, running and finished competitions are on the website too (competitions).
1. Read the competition page first
It shows: the type (voting · photos · knowledge quiz · show) · the phase bar with dates · the required breed if any · the participant limit · the entry fee if any · the prizes (subscription · badge · discount · special prize — no cash prizes).
2. Registration
In the "Registration" phase: choose your bird (it must be registered in your loft and of the required breed) — by searching name or ring. The bird's data is filled in automatically.
The fee (if there is one) is paid through Google Play from the app, or you buy entry credit from the digital store — the credit is tied to this competition only.
3. Uploading content
In the "Upload" phase: up to 5 photos + a description. Then the admins review (accept, or reject with a reason) — only accepted entries are shown to the public.
4. Voting
The public reacts with one of five (👍 ❤️ 🔥 ⭐ 👏) — one reaction per user per entry.
5. Judging and results
The committee (judges appointed by the admins) scores out of 100 with notes on every criterion. The final result = public weight + committee weight (the percentages are on the competition page). Ties go to the earlier registration.
Results appear on the results board with winners and scores, and the placing is recorded under the bird's achievements in its file — which feed into the official file.
6. Other types
- Knockout tournament: head-to-head matches in a bracket, the winner advances.
- Knowledge quiz: timed questions, no bird.
7. Withdrawing
You can withdraw before registration closes. If you withdraw, the fee is not refunded and re-entering the same competition is not possible.
