Meswed Balha

The name the old masters gave the long-beaked (long-faced) Meswed, and the foundation of the house. Its numbers have fallen sharply through crossing into other breeds. The beak is the single most important element of the Meswed's make-up — long, and the heavier the head sits, the better. The head comes from behind in a near-rotation where it meets the neck; the eye is semi-round and wide; strong chest, 35 cm on average.
