Al-Khawanki

The product of putting the Azraq Qateefa back over the Asfar, a colour the keepers then fixed. Some hold the Khawanki to be one of the colours of the Asfar house — the author states plainly that this is not correct. Skull cap and body in a pale apricot, except the wing shields and tail and the back as far as its middle, which are a dark grey tending to black, with the tail tipped in black or very dark grey. A very faint frosting may appear on the shoulder, but the correct bird carries none. Its beak and forehead come closer to the Asfar than the Rihani.
