نوع من الديدان بيصيب القصبة الهوائية والرئتين، وبينتقل للحمام غالبًا عن طريق أكل ديدان الأرض الحاملة لليرقة، وبيسبب مشاكل تنفسية واضحة.

Symptoms

Breathing difficulty, gasping/open-mouth breathing, frequent throat-clearing attempts, general lethargy in heavy infestations.

Causes

ديدان الحلق (Syngamus trachea وما شابهها)

Transmission

أكل ديدان الأرض أو حشرات وسيطة حاملة لليرقة، أو بلع بيض الدودة من بيئة ملوثة.

Diagnosis

ملاحظة أعراض التنفس المميزة، وفحص مجهري للزرق أو للقصبة الهوائية عند الاشتباه.

Treatment

Broad-spectrum anthelmintics such as moxidectin, levamisole, or ivermectin, similar to other worm protocols.

Prevention

Keep floor/ground clean, prevent earthworm buildup near the loft, routine preventive deworming.
